Just 2 more days 'til Valentine's Day!!!

On February 14, the entire world celebrates Valentines day. Some say that this was the day when St. Valentine was killed and therefore lovers all over the world celebrate the saint who has helped marry young couples during the time of Emperor Claudius of Rome who outlawed marriage for young'uns since he thought that single soldiers fight better than married ones.... Ehehehe!

But our Saint wouldn't allow it! He married them in secret! When he was found out by the really bad emperor, he was sent to prison... there he fell in love with the jail wardens daughter... that's when he started sending really sweet notes to her. The gave her a letter before he died that was signed "From your Valentine". There you go folks! Now you know!

Did you also know that Feb 14 is the first day of the bird's mating season? Pretty cool!

Single on Valentine's Day? Not to worry!!! Things to do:

1. Hello? You're not the only one... Internalize that fact!
2. Decide how to treat the day. Celebrate? Or just stick to the daily routine?
3. If you decide to celebrate... Buy a book! Order your fave meal!
4. If you're invited to a V day party... consider going! You'll meet a lot of people there. Make porma!
5. Have friends who are in the same boar? Then throw your own V day party!! Make them bring a special guest.
6. Or go out as a group!
7. Buy something new!
8. Exercise... get that heart pumping!
9. Babysit for your parents, titos or titas. Bake or watch a children's movie with their kids.
10. Do volunteer work!
11. Use the day to do whatever is list on the long "TO DO" list.
12. Spend the night listening to music or reading a book in a cafe.
13. Draw names and trade Valentines with your friends. Silly but fun!
14. Or go to bed early!
15. Remind yourself that by not spending Valentine's Day with just anyone, you're taking great care of YOU.
