terms of endearment... bow

"HUN" or do you use Baby? Pumpkin? Cheesecake? Cupcake? (or any type of sweets found in a red ribbon or goldilocks store) Each of us creates a special nickname for our, shall I say, "one and only". Isn't it cute? Do you call your boyfriend that? Maybe husband? Maybe lover?

Frankly, it's quite stupid for girls to use such terms of endearment on just any XY human being that they know. That's why they call it such... you only use those words if the person to whom that term is directed to is special. I wouldn't call the guy who washes my car "hun" or "babe" nor would I call my blockmate that... unless something happened between the two of you, right? Even if that connection was rather short-lived... why keep using the pet name? What's the point? There is no point... it is pointless.

One only ceases to use that if the receiving end of the term sends a message that it is not suitable for both of them to speak or TEXT each other in such a way.

Ignoring it is not an option... to ignore means acceptance rather than disapproval. Which is why the user still goes on that way... no one told her to stop using it. As a result (on the side of the giver of the pet name) that would mean that it is alright for the recipient to be called such since WALA NAMAN NAGSABI SA KANYA NA DI ANGKOP SA SITWASYON NILA ANG SALITA. Therefore, the giver of the pet name would take it as a form of consent from the receiver to continue using the term.

note to readers: I don't want a debate... This is what I think, let's leave it at that. Comment if you want but I do not want to see a rebuttal.
