another check on my life's TO DO list.
I've always thought of doing it ever since college but the thought had already entered my mind in high school. I read a billion and one experiences on the net about it but its nothing compared to experiencing the real thing!
I'm talking about my belly pierce! Yup! I finally did it.
It helps if you don't stress over it for days on end, all you have to do is make up your mind then set a date. Don't even think of backing out when you get there... JUST DO IT!
I had it pierced by a dubious looking, long haired, rocker guy named daniel in an also very dubious looking cubicle - that according to mr. daniel offers you some privacy since there are no people.
A glimpse at the "gear" used to do the piercing. It consisted of a silver sauce dish where he bathed the stud, huge-ass needle and the rest of the paraphernalia in alcohol. Doesn't it look like a shrine for Che Guevarra? Hahaha!
Now I'm being prepped for the needle. Okay, if you ask me if it hurts, I say yes it does. (there are a billion sensory nerve endings there waiting to relay something out of the ordinary that's happening on your skin to your brain.)
But it's not something a person cannot handle. It just feels like your getting one of those vaccines except it's a "wee" bit more painful, laddy!
But to tell you the truth, I couldn't remember much of the pain... I actually felt a sort of pin-prick then a pull, and I though it was over and yes it was, he just had to put the stud! It's all over! Now I just have to clean it everyday to avoid it getting infected!
Hurray!
